Two of the biggest signings that the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship has made in 2021 will take on each other come July 23rd. In one of the most anticipated matchups for the young promotion, Paige VanZant will take on Rachael Ostovich in the BKFC circle.
The fight was initially reported to be considered by the promotion back in April. It is now official and will happen on the BKFC 19 card.
The ladies have shared combat space with each other previously. They competed in the UFC in January 2019 in a competitive fight. PVZ emerged victorious with a second-round armbar submission.

The talks of the fight between Ostovich and VanZant gained momentum almost immediately after Ostovich signed with the BKFC.
VanZant would look to bounce back from her first loss in the promotion. She made her debut against Britain Hart and suffered a decision loss back in February.
Will Paige VanZant vs Rachael Ostovich serve as the big break for BKFC
Since then, BKFC brass has been discussing signing a big name to fight Paige VanZant. UFC releasing Ostovich was the perfect opportunity for them to do so.
Ostovich would look to solidify her name in BKFC by starting her career off on a win. The rematch would be really interesting. In their first outing in the octagon, they were extremely competitive on their feet.
Because of the mainstream pull that the fighters have, the fight could be the break into the audience that BKFC has been hoping for. The promotion would also look to showcase their prominent talents on the same card.
