In the same vein, he invited Dave Attell, a stand-up comedian, for an episode on the show. They spoke about a nasty subway incident involving, Renzo Gracie.

Joe Rogan is a talented podcaster, who’s got a way with his words. The comedian makes his guests comfortable and gets them to open up in a way, probably no other host can. Consequently, he enjoys immense popularity among his avid fans.

The UFC commentator invited, Dave Attell, to episode #1874 of The Joe Rogan Experience. Attell started talking about the subway system and how it’s not extremely safe. The host brought up a recent incident involving subways and an MMA Legend.

The podcast host asked Attell, “Did you see the video of Renzo Gracie getting in a fight on the subway?”

Rogan talked about how he spoke with the Brazilian MMA Legend, Renzo Gracie, post this incident. Apparently, Gracie claimed to have, “F***** his (the assailant) knees up.”

Renzo Gracie was speaking with a fellow staff member, when he was confronted for speaking in Portuguese. This comment offended Gracie and remarked that it was racist.

Gradually a fight broke out, but the martial artist knew exactly what to do to contain the fight. After all, he spent most of his life mastering Jiu-Jitsu.

The UFC commentator wondered how the aggressor was unaware of what he was getting himself into. Rogan expressed himself by saying, “What a terrible move by that guy!”

Attell chimed in favor of what Gracie did. “He did the right thing, though, right?”

Rogan gave an insight into how the martial artist dealt with the situation in a composed manner. “He didn’t even hurt him. Just threw him to the ground… And controlled him and put him in a stranglehold and let him go. And told him to apologize.”

While watching the video on Instagram, Joe couldn’t help but react with, “Like, out of all the people to f*** with… You f*** with Renzo Gracie…” pointing out “That’s such a huge mistake.”
