In one episode of the podcast, Rogan opened up about a terrifying thought involving an insect.

Joe Rogan has all kinds of animal-related stories. The man is infamous for going on crazy tangents involving all kinds of species. Like one time, when he thought about the only possible way to deal with a 5-feet praying mantis saying, “I would be armed to the d**k all day long.”

In episode #1387 of JRE, Rogan talked about how he is grateful bugs are not big and intelligent. Hearing this, Homme joined in with his thoughts and said, “Thank God praying mantis aren’t 5 feet tall…”

Joe Rogan absolutely agreed with the sentiment and screamed, “F*** yeah, dude!”

Josh Homme started to imagine his morning routine and how it would change if there were 5-feet praying mantises roaming around saying. Taking about even daily tasks would be impossible to do, he said, “Getting to your car would be a nightmare.”

Rogan and Homme dig deeper into the fictitious event

Rogan then remembered some content he had consumed related to the praying mantis. Taking about it, he said, “I was just watching a video of a praying mantis f***** up a mouse”.

The comedian offered a graphic description of how the insect attacked a squirrel saying, “It was holding on to this little squirrel’s head and just… slowly pulling it apart. “

He adds, “they’re so ruthless these god**** things” and “they’re so deceptively strong for their size”. It would cause a genuine terror if these bugs were the size of a human.

Because of their predatory nature, it wouldn’t be impossible to consider them picking on humans of the same size or smaller.

They play a video of a praying mantis and Homme immediately reacts by going “dude if that was five feet tall ...” “… I would stay home a lot more”.
