Kamaru Usman and Colby Covington- a Bad Blooded Rivalry

Kamaru Usman will headline the UFC 261 main event at Jacksonville, Florida, where he will battle Jorge Masvidal for the Welterweight championship for his fourth title defense. ‘The Nigerian Nightmare’ has only been pushed to the limit once, when he fought the former interim Champion Colby Covington. Covington is arguably the biggest rival of the current Welterweight champion.
They fought each other back in December 2019 at UFC 245, which was the first defense for Usman. It was a nail-biting match between two highly talented mixed martial artists. Usman somehow stopped his opponent at the last minute of the last round.

Colby Covington claims to be the backup for Kamaru Usman vs Jorge Masvidal
If ‘The Nigerian Nightmare’ emerges victorious in his upcoming fight, then there is a good chance of a rematch between the duo. ‘Chaos’ claims he is training for the title fight and is available to fight if any fighter gets ruled out of the bout.

One more name who claims to be the next title contender is Leon Edwards. After losing to Usman, ‘Rocky’ is on a 7 fight win streak, and he will build a strong case to become the next challenger if he beats Nate Diaz in his upcoming fight. Leon is a great opponent, but ‘Chaos’ is a bigger name right at this moment.
One thing looks certain: Covington still has some unfinished business with his old rival. The rematch seems to be the biggest fight that UFC could make in the Welterweight division. Fans love to see the bad blood between the two and want to see them collide once again.
