Hall has been a mainstay in the middleweight division since 2013. During that time, he has faced the very best the UFC has had to offer at 185-pounds and has more often than not always come out on top. Going into his fight against ‘Tarzan’, Hall was on a four-fight win streak with wins against the likes of Anderson Silva and Chris Weidman among others.
A win against Strickland would have put him in serious contention for a title shot. However, it was not meant to be as Hall was completely outclassed by the younger Strickland. Hall started the fight off slow and was on the back foot for the duration of the fight. The stats from the fight say the same story as Strickland landed a mind-boggling 221 total strikes with an accuracy of 47%. He also landed 186 significant strikes with an accuracy of 43%.

Hall was ranked 8th going into the fight.
