In a podcast with Joe Rogan, A-Rod revealed some harsh words told to him by his teacher. A-Rod explains how he used those words as ammunition to get where he is today.

This incident motivated young Aaron Rodgers to realize his dream

We know Aaron Rodgers as a courageous quarterback, who is certainly one of the best to do it for The Green Bay Packers. But back in his college days, even the legendary NFL player had to face a lot of criticism regarding his education. He recalls one such incident with a teacher at the University of California, Berkley.

“Somebody who didn’t believe in me was… I had this teacher at Cal…” A-Rod confessed in episode #1865 of The Joe Rogan Experience podcast.

Apparently, the teacher was extremely particular about the answers. “So in my class of 20…” he adds, “15 of the kids didn’t cite it exactly how she said”

“14 of ‘em got to re-write the paper, not me.” Aaron Rodgers was asked to appear in her office to talk to the teacher regarding the paper.

He confronted her by stating “look I’m not looking for a special privilege here, but the other 14 kids… Who got an F on the paper, got to rewrite the paper, and I didn’t.” The NFL star confidently made his claim about the teacher being unfair to him, while the other students who trained on the same team with him got away.

Joe Rogan reacts to Rodgers’ conversation with his teacher

The teacher at the University of California questioned Aaron Rodgers about what he was going to do with his life. She asked, “What are you gonna do with your life?”

To which Rodgers gave a straight answer, “So, I’m applying in the NFL.” and the teacher retorted with, “No way in hell”

Joe Rogan reacted to that rude statement, exclaiming, “No way in hell?”

“You’ll never make it,” Aaron Rodgers continued to narrate how the teacher did not think he would achieve anything and said, “What I’ve seen from you… is you won’t amount to anything.”

Joe Rogan reacted to the entire speech narrated by Rodgers from the teacher saying, “What a terrible thing to say to a kid.

The American Quarterback had an answer for her back then, which he’s proud of. He said, “Watch me.”

Rodgers looks back on this memory and believes that this event was ultimately beneficial for him. He used her negative energy as ammunition to become a better athlete and fulfilled his dreams and more. He says, “So big props to that food appreciation teacher at Cal for trying to… ruin my life and my dreams.” He adds “You just gave me some ammo. “
