In the ongoing Australian Open 2022, she has been displaying some top-notch tennis in the couple of matches played so far. Osaka’s return was highly anticipated after her 2021 season, which was marred by mental health issues.
One player who has managed to impress the four-time Grand Slam winner is Carlos Alcaraz. The Spanish teenager has been playing sensational tennis over the past year and has remained consistent on the Tour.

At the Happy Slam, Carlos has displayed dominant performances in the first two rounds. He has managed to win both the matches in straight sets, defeating Dusan Lajovic in his most recent encounter.
On the other hand, Osaka has registered similar performances in her matches as well, winning both comfortably in straight sets.

What’s next for Osaka and Alcaraz?
As the rounds progress, the competition will surely get tougher. Next up for Osaka is American tennis player Amanda Anisimova. In the men’s section, Alcaraz will be taking on 6th seed Matteo Berrettini in the third round, which promises to be an enticing affair. Both matches are scheduled for Friday.
