During the interview, Wallace mentioned, “I didn’t like when F1 went to their motor now. I’ve gotten used to it now, but when they first did it, I was like, ‘This is not cool’.”

“Jimmie (Johnson) when he drove the car swap with Alonso, he was driving the old V10 and it sounded awesome. You just see so many people when an old nostalgic video gets posted and they go, “Oh man, I love this old sound. Bring it back.” People will latch onto that.”

During a podcast with Corey LaJoie, Wallace was asked if he had to drive one car of his choosing for the rest of his life, what would he choose?

The 23XI driver, initially said he’d go around Michigan in his current 23 car every week, but then also mentioned, “but I would love to do a swap with an F1 car and just go out there and make laps, just to see.”

LaJoie then asked where would he like to do that. Wallace responded, “The most laps that I’ve turned on an F1 game is probably Australia. So I’d like to do that.”
