Daniil Kvyat Reveals NASCAR Dream in Old Video as Mr. “I Don’t Have a Bucket List” Kimi Raikkonen Steals the Show

Back in the 2020 Formula One season, a handful of drivers spoke about their bucket lists. This was a list of things that they wish that they can do or want to do in the future. The drivers who appeared were Lewis Hamilton, Daniel Ricciardo, Valtteri Bottas, George Russell, Daniil Kvyat, and Kimi Raikkonen.

Russian driver Kvyat confessed that he always wanted to visit a NASCAR race or a Kings of Leon concert. After him came Raikkonen, and in his typical fashion, the Finn bluntly stated, “I don’t have a bucket list.”

Fast-forward to today and Kvyat is doing better than attending a NASCAR race. He is racing in the season. This weekend, he will compete in his second Cup race.
Daniil Kvyat will be joined by Kimi Raikkonen on the NASCAR grid
The last time around, he race at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course, where he ended up retiring from the race. It was a situation that was out of his hands because the reason was a mechanical issue.
Of course, the Russian driver will be back at Watkins Glen International, and with a familiar face.

To be precise, Raikkonen will be making his Cup Series debut with Trackhouse Racing. The Finnish F1 veteran has competed in the Truck and Xfinity Series before, but it has been a while.
So, no one is really sure how well he will perform at Watkins Glen. Though it will be interesting to see Kvyat and Raikkonen battle for top F1 driver honors.

Raikkonen’s advantage is that the Trackhouse Racing team is already a proven race winner. Especially with both drivers, Ross Chastain and Daniel Suarez racking up wins. On the other end of the scale, Kvyat does have one race under his belt, even though it was cut short due to mechanical issues.
