No division of elite motorsports can claim to be about just the driver. NASCAR too is a team sport that involves various units working together to build a successful team and take the checkered flag. Sponsors play a crucial role in this process, as they not only provide financial support but also help attract more fans to the sport. In their pursuit of expanding their fan base, NASCAR has made significant changes in the 75th season.

Sponsorships often help create stronger bonds between the sponsors, teams, and drivers. For example, FedEx has maintained a longstanding partnership with Joe Gibbs Racing and driver Denny Hamlin. And over the years, this has resulted in the formation of a symbiotic relationship among the stakeholders.

While there has been much talk about Richard Childress’s grandson, Austin Dillon, driving for his grandfather’s team, Childress’s other grandson, Ty, has recently taken the spotlight. This time, the news surrounding him is positive, as one of the biggest sports teams in the country has decided to form a partnership with his NASCAR team, Spire Motorsports.
