Front Row Motorsports announced their driver line-up for the 2021 NASCAR Cup Series season, offering Anthony Alfredo the opportunity to make his Cup Series debut.
Alfredo will drive the #38 car vacated by John Hunter Nemechek and will partner Michael McDowell, who is in the #34 car.
The move means that the #38 car will host a rookie driver for another season after Nemechek ran his rookie Cup season for Front Row Motorsports in 2020. Alfredo moves up from the NASCAR Xfinity Series, where he had a strong outing this year.

Alfredo secured 9 Top-10 finishes in 19 starts in the Xfinity Series with Richard Childress Racing. His best finish was a 3rd-place run at Texas.
A major opportunity for the newest NASCAR Cup Series rookie
The move to Front Row is a massive opportunity for Alfredo, who is just 21 and is already confirmed as a NASCAR Cup Series rookie driver. The team said that they were looking to recruit a youngster who can take the team forward.

“We met Anthony and spent time with him when last season ended,” co-owner Bob Jenkins said. “We wanted another young driver and someone that fit well into our team,” he added.
Alfredo also expressed his excitement about the big opportunity. “This is really an unbelievable moment. When you start out racing karts as a kid, you dream of making it to the sport’s top level,” Alfredo said.

Other developments at Front Row Motorsports
Seth Barbour will lead the #38 outfit as Crew Chief for Alfredo, while McDowell continues his association with Drew Blickensderfer.
Front Row also announced that David Ragan will run an open entry, the #36 Ford car, for the season-opening Daytona 500. Ragan retired as a full-time NASCAR driver in 2019 but ran the 2020 Daytona 500 for Rick Ware Racing. He ran a brilliant race to finish in 4th place.

FRM did not announce their sponsorship deals, which will be revealed at a later date. However, the team did make another big announcement about their 2021 driver line-up, with Todd Gilliland making his return in the #38 Truck Series machine.
The addition of Alfredo will make things a lot more interesting in the 2021 NASCAR Cup Series season, and the battle between the rookies will be enthralling, to say the least.
