Just imagine traveling from the dusty, smoke-filled race tracks to the blood-curdling, aggressive aura of a fighting ring. And Kevin Harvick seems to have loved the transition, as he struck up a unique bond with UFC fighter Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone. Recently, Harvick engaged with Cerrone in an insightful conversation on an episode of Kevin Harvick’s Happy Hour. Harvick let his fans know about Cerrone’s pivotal role in giving wings to his business, Kevin Harvick Management.

“Donald was our first client at Kevin Harvick Management. We tap out, brought Donald to Texas Motor Speedway, and we became friends and went to watch fights. That really was the birth of Kevin Harvick Management when Donald came to us and said, ‘Hey, will you manage me?’ And from that point, we’ve helped him through everything he’s done.”

Cerrone officially signed with KHI in 2013, and the marketing agency worked towards uplifting his fighting profile. Cerrone was the first mixed martial artist KHI worked with. In 2019, he got into the fighting ring with MMA icon Conor Mcgregor, and this elevated KHI’s respect phenomenally in UFC circles.

Donald Cerrone has his own place in the motorsports world as well. After securing a spot in the UFC Hall of Fame, Cerrone is now venturing into off-road desert racing. Talking to Kevin Harvick, he laid down his rules both in the arena and on the race track. “I don’t cheat. I play by the rules. Just like fighting, I never cheated, ever. I always made weight. I never took any drugs. I always played by the rules, so I never was ever worried about anything. Same thing, off-road. I’m gonna race as hard as I can, legally.”

Kevin Harvick’s fated encounter with Cerrone was in a funny and chilled-out situation.
