NASCAR fans can be ruthless at times, bashing anyone who doesn’t share the popular opinion. One such incident unfolded recently when there were rumors going around about NASCAR’s return to the Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway. The track hosted NASCAR Grand National/Cup Series (formerly NASCAR Winston Cup Series) races from 1958 to 1984. But, before the start of the 1985 season, NASCAR decided to stop racing at the Fairgrounds Speedway due to the ongoing disputes regarding who would be looking after the track.
Back in 2021, Speedway Motorsports came into talks with the Nashville Fair Board to renovate the Fairgrounds Speedway for NASCAR’s return to the track. But ever since, there has been a back-and-forth between the SMI and the people who live near the track who don’t want NASCAR to return to the track apparently due to the loud noises made by the cars.
NASCAR fans have quickly jumped on the opportunity to show their anger towards a “Karen” who has voiced her opinion against NASCAR’s return to the Fairgrounds Speedway.

Fans Took to YouTube Comments to Show Their Anger at What They’re Calling the Worst Anti-NASCAR “Karen”
‘The Iceberg posted a YouTube short named “The Worst Anti-NASCAR Karen” showing a woman expressing her opinion against NASCAR’s return to the Fairgrounds Speedway.
Here’s what she said, “There are five perfectly operating Formula 1 and NASCAR tracks that are fully operational, that are available 20 to 30 minutes outside Nashville. There is no talk of neglect of the neighborhoods that they are about to destroy. I am appalled that this should even be a discussion and that any of this should be even contemplated.”

Taking to the comments, fans quickly showed their anger and disagreement with her opinion. Here are a few of the comments on the video.
“If you really complained about a track that has been there longer than you Karen, you’re nuts!!!!” said one fan.
One fan was quick to point out her mistake. “This lady clearly has lost her mind F1 doesn’t even race in Nashville. Do some research before you make a scene out of yourself.”
“I want them to race there just to make that lady mad,” said another.
“Tell Karen she can go back to the country she came from!!” said one fan. “Just like there are 5 tracks outside of Nashville there are 100’s of homes not near the track she could have chose.”
The reactions from the fans on the video make it clear that they are excited for NASCAR to return to one of the oldest race tracks in America.

“We are thankful to the Nashville Fair Board for supporting the vision to restore the historic Fairgrounds Speedway.”
He continued, “They invested a lot of time vetting this opportunity, and we agree it provides a financially responsible future for the speedway while shifting the risk off taxpayers to a private operator, and completes the restoration of the Fairgrounds with improvements like a state-of-the-art sound-reduction wall that benefits the surrounding neighborhoods.”
However, the proposal must be approved by the Metro Council before NASCAR can return to the track.
