It is interesting to note that NASCAR driver Daniel Suarez has a connection to Formula 1. As it happens, he is in a relationship with Julia Piquet, the younger daughter of 3-time F1 champion Nelson Piquet. The couple is currently engaged, and ahead of the race weekend at the Phoenix Raceway, they are celebrating their 5th anniversary.

In a sweet post on social media, Suarez wrote, “Today is my 5th anniversary with this pinche bombón!! So fortunate to have you on this journey with  me.” In response, Julia replied, “Three hearts for you.” As if it were not obvious already, the couple is very much in love, and he even proposed to her in 2022 in Monaco.

Up until this point, there had actually been a number of questions about his future. Given that teammate Ross Chastain has been a consistent performer for Trackhouse Racing, there was pressure on Suarez. Especially considering that there were some drivers like Shane van Gisbergen who would love a full-time seat. So the Atlanta win was a massive statement for his rivals. In essence, he was saying that if anyone wanted that #99 seat, they would have to pry it from his cold, dead hands.
