Bubba Wallace is one of the few NASCAR drivers who have realtered or made possible, a reimagining of the notion of what a NASCAR driver could be, should be, and will be. He has been quite vocal about a host of issues in and out of the sport that has earned him the reputation he has, that of a controversial figure.

It is this reputation that has led to him being a divisive figure in almost everything he does or says.

More recently, the 23XI Racing driver was spotted riding a skateboard on the track of the Circuit Of The Americas. Wallace was probably out for his ‘track walk’ when he lost his balance and fell down off of the board, on the asphalt.

Wallace quickly collected himself and pretended that nothing happened, but it was too late, the camera had caught him.

This led to a pretty funny video with some dramatic commentary posted by FOX on NASCAR.

But even this led to a flurry of negative reactions for the Talladega winner. While some NASCAR fans took the opportunity to take a dig at him, there were those who sympathized with him as well.

It could very well get worse for Bubba Wallace and his team soon

Bubba Wallace having bad luck on the track on a skateboard was perhaps a sign for things to come later in the race.

This is because, during the race, car No.23 lost its wheel in turn 16 as a lug nut came loose. This led to the wheel popping off and going away to its own race, leaving the driver in no-man’s-land and helpless.

However, things could get worse for the No.23 team as the wheel incident is a direct violation of NASCAR rules. And as you know, NASCAR isn’t messing around with the rules this season.

As a result, Bubba Wallace could lose his crew chief and a couple more crew members for four races, adding to the misery of his season that has so far been tainted with bad luck.
