From time to time, NASCAR drivers have taken time off their schedules to interact with fans, organize events that will entertain them, and increase their fan following. Bubba Wallace is very well known in that aspect. Bubba’s Block Party in Chicago was one such event, where he joined the fans in their moments of joy.

NASCAR fans can go overboard with their demands and jokes at times. And not always fans are looking for a block party, autograph, or gift. Sometimes it can be something much more than that—something unrealistic that could change a fan’s life. One young fan in the past had a similar request for Bubba Wallace. This time, the question was quite surprising indeed!

“Can you marry my mom?” : Young NASCAR fan gets his demand rejected by Bubba Wallace

Bubba Wallace has been engaged to Amanda since July 2021. Following their long-term relationship, Bubba decided to strengthen their relationship further as they embarked on another phase of their lives.

For those who might be unaware of it, Bubba tied the knot with long-term girlfriend and partner Amanda Carter on New Year’s Eve earlier this year. Although this fan incident took place before their marriage, Bubba decides to be a gentleman about it and answers the fan calmly.

“Bubba, can you marry my mom?” asks the fan. Children can be quite naive at times, so much so that they could demand anything. But this time it wasn’t a toy; it was asking a motorsport hero to marry his mother.

“I’m already engaged, pal“,  said Bubba, dismissing any possibility of him bestowing the boy’s wish.

Bubba and Amanda’s relationship timeline

The beautiful couple met each other for the first time in high school in North Carolina. In Bubba’s sophomore year, he met a freshman, Amanda, in their Spanish tutorial classes. But things didn’t move fast until 2011, when they decided to watch a football game together after their graduation from high school.

One of the obstacles in their way was Bubba’s racing schedule. Often busy with events, he had to move around the country and stay away from his family and Amanda. On one fine day, Amanda thought that talking over the phone couldn’t get better than getting to watch the Alabama native live.

Recalling their story in a conversation with PEOPLE, Amanda reveals,

“We sat near each other. I don’t remember first meeting, but he would always try to cheat. We were friends. There was three or four of us that did all of our projects together, and he always would try to cheat off my exams because I was much smarter than he was!”

However, the 23XI Racing driver says otherwise, Bubba revealed,

“I was definitely not good at Spanish, and I was trying to do the easy route, and she would not budge. She would not.”

The couple had a great marriage celebration as they shared images from the auspicious day. Five years of dating converted into a life-long partnership, a perfect growth in every aspect of Bubba Wallace’s life.
