Bubba Wallace Reveals University Coach’s Cool Advice to Fend Off the NASCAR Haters

Bubba Wallace is indeed one of the most divisive personalities in NASCAR. The NASCAR Cup Series driver has always been engrossed in controversies more often than not. Despite off performances lately, Bubba’s popularity remains the same.

The Cup Series driver recently attended a charity dinner at Charlotte. There he met with Roy Williams, the former University of North Carolina Basketball coach. Even though Wallace Jr is a University of Tennessee fan, he made sure he listened to the advice Roy had for him.

Although the duo never met each other before, but he passed his advice to the 23XI Racing driver. Roy conveyed, “The dogs are always going to be barking, but the caravan is going to keep rolling.” The phrase in the plain sentence means that one needs to continue his/her work despite the complications or obstructions.

To the advice, Bubba stated, “I was like, ‘That’s pretty damn cool. You sit there and think about it, and you can apply that to a lot of things — but mainly the situation you talked about.”

Around half a year back, the 23XI Racing driver tweeted yet a controversial tweet that took Twitter by storm. The NASCAR fans all over the world criticized the Cup series driver. He wrote, “Ha, let the boy be black and it would’ve been life…hell he would’ve had his life taken before the bullshit trial.. sad”

To this, fans reminded him of the noose that was found at his No. 43 Richard Petty Motorsports garage stall at Talladega Superspeedway. Even though the FBI gave him a clean chit, his involvement mattered most to people who didn’t like him.

Corey LaJoie, a long-time friend of Bubba, further stated, “Bubba sees the most amount of hate. Anytime I’m tagged in a tweet with Bubba, I’m like … ‘What?’ There are some really lonely, sad people who want to comment and say the things they do to Bubba. It makes me sad to see it.”
