Carson Hocevar Left Flabbergasted as Fan Drops Unprecedented “Tickle” Threat on iRacing

Only a few sports allow as much leisure as NASCAR when interacting with the fans. With the advent of technology in the racing culture, the relationship between fans and drivers has taken a new shape. One of the platforms that has bridged the gap is streaming giant Twitch. Twitch is mainly dominated by gamers showcasing their skills in various games and taking advantage of the same, iRacing has crawled into the scene quietly. One of the notable iRacing fanatics from the new generation of drivers is new Spire Motorsports recruit Carson Hocevar.

Moments between NASCAR drivers and fans can often take a hilarious turn. A month ago, Carson Hocevar announced his entry into Twitch streaming and revealed that his channel would mainly feature sessions of iRacing and other simulations. In a recent stream, Hocevar encountered a fan on his Twitch chat who made a shocking claim that left him in disarray.

Fan threatens to ‘tickle’ Carson Hocevar

Carson Hocevar is one of the modern generation drivers who has shown an affinity for the relatively newer methods of interacting with fans. His tech-savvy approach has appealed to younger fans and garnered them on Twitch. A successful yet controversial 2023 Truck Series season has already put him in the spotlight, and the Cup Series move has further added to his reputation.

As Carson Hocevar finished a session on iRacing, many fans encouraged him to try an IndyCar race at the Talladega Superspeedway. A certain fan by the ID of ‘chefsquid1’ wrote in the chat, “I’m gonna tickle you in places if you don’t do Indy Dega.

Hocevar was seen speechless as he read the text out loud. After a brief period of silence and expressions of surprise, Carson Hocevar dropped out of his camera frame. Sharing the hilarious video featuring Hocevar’s reaction, the fan reiterated his wish on Twitter, writing, “I don’t regret my actions one bit, @CarsonHocevar. I may still tickle you out of pure enjoyment.NASCAR fans can be pretty comical at times. But this time, Carson Hocevar couldn’t believe it could go to such an extent.

However, it seems the 20-year-old hasn’t just attracted the affinity of his fans, as his new boss at  Spire Motorsports also exuded confidence in the youngster.

Carson Hocevar has shone in the limited opportunities with Spire and Legacy Motor Club. Following impressive performances in the Truck Series, Spire Motorsports lined him up to replace Corey LaJoie as he subbed in for the suspended Chase Elliott early in 2023. The driver’s Truck and Cup Series combined results have translated into a full-time role in the #77 Chevrolet.

Hocevar’s signing is a statement of intent from Spire, which also bought another charter from BJ McLeod Motorsports. Meanwhile, a technical alliance with Trackhouse Racing has also greatly boosted the team. Co-owner Jeff Dickerson believes that Hocevar’s addition could help Spire emerge as a powerhouse in the premier competition as he said, “Carson Hocevar is a proven winner and excels with every opportunity,

He’s an undeniable talent and reminds me a lot of a young Kyle Busch and Brad Keselowski. We’re thrilled to have him join the Spire Motorsports family and help us continue to raise our competitive bar.”

The team recently announced Zeigler Auto as a primary sponsor for the No.77 car. Zeigler Auto will sponsor the car in seven races, including the Daytona 500 and the Coca-Cola 600. With the sponsorship duties fulfilled, Carson Hocevar can shift his focus to the racing aspect as the dream run continues.
