Every year in the first week of December, a few NASCAR drivers head to Florida for the Snowball Derby. For this year’s edition, Chase Elliott and Kyle Busch are set to make an appearance at the historic race. With that in mind, Chase Briscoe admitted that he also wants a piece of the action.

Briscoe confessed that he has never raced in a pavement late model car. However, he acknowledged that it sounded like a lot of fun. The Xfinity graduate knows that this particular race will impart valuable experience for him.

Sadly, it is too late for him to participate in this year’s race, so he will have to wait for next December’s race.

The 25-year-old is set to race for the Stewart-Haas Racing team. In essence, he is taking over the seat that Clint Bowyer vacated when he announced his retirement. Now, Bowyer is set to pursue a career in the commentary booth with FOX Sports NASCAR. Thus, Chase Briscoe will have to fill in Bowyer’s boots in the #14 car.

Without a doubt, Briscoe is an excellent driver and he can certainly bring a lot to the table. Last year in the Xfinity Series, he racked up nine race wins throughout the season, though he lost out to Austin Cindric.

Nevertheless, SHR knows that Chase Briscoe is a hugely talented driver. He is also in an esteemed company, as he partners Kevin Harvick, Cole Custer and Aric Almirola.
