Chase Elliott Reveals the Most Embarrassing Moment of His NASCAR Career Came Against Kyle Larson

Hendrick Motorsports’ golden boy has had his fair share of mishaps. Of course, he is a seasoned driver, but gaining the level of experience comes with a lot of mistakes and regrets. And this time around, Elliott revealed his most embarrassing moment.

And this experience involved his fellow teammate.

In conversation with Corey LaJoie, Elliott revealed the moment he disappointed himself as a racecar driver.

Chase said, “Most disappointed probably in myself at the racetrack was when I threw away a win at Dover. A handful of years ago raced against Kyle there for the win, and just did a terrible job. You know, pissed away a huge lead in traffic, and chose the wrong lane didn’t put up hardly any fight, at all, so probably the most disappointed I’ve been.”

Surely, Elliott seems to have learned from his past as he defended against Kyle Larson time and time again after the race.

After his big win at Atlanta, Chase Elliott became the most successful driver in the Cup Series at the moment, boasting three wins so far. On top of that, the 2020 Cup Series Champion is also the points leader.

But an interesting detail from Hendrick Motorsports’ vice-chairman, Jeff Gordon, reveals his true determination.

“I just saw a look in his eye all day. You could hear it in his voice over the radio. He was just very focused and determined,”  said the four-time Cup Series Champion “
