Carpe-diem or seize the day. This is perhaps the dictum that rules Tony Stewart’s life. The 51-year-old does not let the pressure of the future burden his today. He loves to enjoy the present. He is out there in the world, living his life to the last drop. At least that’s what Dale Earnhardt Jr thinks.

Dale Earnhardt Jr appreciates Tony Stewart’s mindset
In a candid conversation with Mike Davis, Dale Jr’s co-host in Dale Jr Download, Dale Jr unraveled his acknowledgment for the Stewart-Haas co-owner. Dale Jr. in the latest episode remarked, “I was really curious to talk to him. Loved catching up, excited about everything he is doing. Becoming a Tony Stewart fan as a drag racer. And basic yeah.”
While commenting on Tony’s mindset, Dale Jr exclaimed, “But he has that sort of interesting mindset, that it’s all seat-to-the pants. There is no plan, there is no vision, no future out there that he is looking at. There is no blueprint or path. It’s just… hey, this is what we are doing.”

And to this, Mike Davis humorously replies, “Have Fun. I [as Stewart] am gonna have fun today. And figure out tomorrow, tomorrow.”

Dale Jr shares his take after keeping tabs on drag racing
The world of drag race may be new for the two-time Daytona 500 winner. But not for Tony Stewart. When asked by Mike Davis, “I don’t wanna call fandom or fascination of drag racing. But did you find that his detailed explanation of all that goes on in the drag racing car, in his case a top-fuel car, did it enhance your appreciation of NHRA drag racing?
Dale Jr. who is yet to charter the tracks of drag racing, considered, “Well, I already admired John Force and all of the legends”. He also attests to the fact “I used to watch these videos called, ‘And They Walked Away’,” where drag raced survived some of the most horrific crashes.
He added, “I have a massive amount of respect and appreciation for the daredevil aspect.”

Admirations are endless for the $90 Million worth legend. He already flaunts his first victory in drag racing. Stewart has won the Top Alcohol Four-Wide Nationals in Vegas. The 3-time Cup Series champion will now also have a special place in his heart for drag racing. And why not? It was in the tracks of drag racing where he found his beloved wife, Leah Pruett, another fellow drag racer.
With his first victory in, Tony will surely be propelled to achieve more on the tracks of drag racing. And it only helps that he has the support of his wife and buddy Dale Jr.
