When Dale Earnhardt Jr. announced that he’d be taking over the CARS Tour ownership along with Justin Marks, Kevin Harvick and Jeff Burton, many wondered if their names would bring back the series into the mainstream while also acting as massive PR boost. But what happened in a recent race was perhaps not the look Junior and Co. were hoping for.

During the LMSC Race at Ace Speedway, Ryan Wilson and Chase Burrow as the latter ‘jumped on the door’ of Wilson as he slid into the wall. This left Burrow’s car upside down and Wilson’s car on fire.

What made this scarier was the fact that the A post on Wilson’s car were completely gone which left the fans in a confused state because there was something worse which happened after the wreck.

Fans left in a confused state after horrific wreck in CARS Tour

As Ryan Wilson was trying to check up on Burrows after the incident, a crew member from the latter’s team also started pulling him away which eventually escalated to a conflict.

This, after the horrific incident, left many fans wondering if the line between entertainment and being insensitive was crossed while one also took a dig on NASCAR.

“Looking at this and the video of the crash…. whoever pulled him out to fight him needs to be served his walking papers,” one fan wrote while another wrote, “Yes, it’s messed up, but I’ll be dammed if its not entertaining.”

“And yet no injuries in that. Most of the cup drivers probably think and know this car is safer than the NextGen,” another fan commented while one fan reacted with, “At first read I thought to myself “im not sure what this says about me but thid is what I love about racing” but after seeing the video and the seriousness of everything that’s pretty terrible.”
