Tony Stewart‘s brainchild Superstar Racing Experience returns on Thursday. After a chaotic event last week, some changes are expected to be seen in the star-studded line-up that participates at the Berlin Raceway. 2003 CART champion Paul Tracy was the driver in the spotlight at Pulaski’s Motor Mile last week after his wreck took out multiple cars and, as a result, left many other drivers furious.

Barstool Sports’ NASCAR podcast, Rubbin is Racing, has been a source of entertainment, opinion, and information for the fans of the sport. Hosts Spider and Large present their takes on various happenings in the community and have managed to lure many NASCAR stars as guests. Female driving sensation Hailie Deegan graces the latest episode of the popular podcast, one of the many stars to race in the Camping World SRX Series. But despite bearing the consequences of Tracy’s actions at Strafford, she decides to stay tight-lipped about it.

“Those are your words”: Hailie Deegan keeps herself away from controversy

The main headlines in the SRX circuit will be the sacking of Paul Tracy from the future races. The 54-year-old Canadian-American driver was responsible for ruining last week’s race after initiating a multi-car wreck that affected Ken Schrader, Indy 500 champion Josef Newgarden and Hailie Deegan. Deemed the most-crash-filled race in the history of SRX races, the only solution SRX authorities found right was to relieve Tracy from his duties.

Rubbin is Racing co-host Large had some criticism in his mind about Tracy. He starts, “Let’s get to it. So they bounced Paul Tracy. Paul Tracy is a punk. That’s my words. So he’s sending people into the wall”

Guest Hailie prefers not to embroil herself in the discussion further as she distances herself from the opinion, saying, “Those are your words, not mine.

Large then continues to clear the air about the reasons for removing Tracy from the illustrious roster comprising both former and current stars from a wide range of racing arenas.

Superstar Racing Experience is supposed to be relatively friendly. Yeah, the biggest names in racing going in there and racing on Thursday nights, and Hailie is there racing every week so she happened to get caught up in one of these latest wrecks that was caused by Paul Tracy which got him bounced from SRX for an undetermined amount of time. We don’t know if he’s banned for life or whatever.”

Tracy’s absence will mean that Tony Stewart will be looking at alternatives to fill the missing spot on the grid. Many names have popped up on the list, but apparently, the one replacing him will be former Winston Cup champion Johnny Benson Jr.

“It doesn’t do much”: Ken Schrader on suspending Tracy

Last week, former NASCAR driver Ken Schrader was put in a tough spot with the crash. Up until the wreck, everything seemed to be going fine for the 68-year-old at Strafford. But after the crash that ended his race, Schrader was seen getting furious at Tracy for disrupting his evening. The frustration reached an extent that Schrader expressed his wish to never get involved with Tracy on a race track ever again and he would stop racing in SRX if Tracy was allowed to compete again.

But fast forward to this week, and the dust seems to have settled down a bit. In a calm and composed state of mind, Kenny said, “I like the series.”

It’s good. The drivers are having a great time … most of the time. It’s been a lot of fun.”

Speaking about Tracy, he still sounds a bit upset as he claims that the former CART champion might be used to such incidents and it won’t affect him much. He says, “He’s been yelled at for two years, so obviously it doesn’t do much.”

Amid all the ruckus at Strafford, Rowdy continued to do what he does best, that is, win. Schrader is a big admirer of Busch and his fellow Cup Series drivers who have been gracing the event with their presence.

“There’s a lot of good Cup drivers, and a lot in every series. There’s always a couple that have that little bit extra. I gotta give that to Kyle Busch and Kyle Larson, for having that little bit extra when they need it.”

Although the series has been a good attraction for the crowd and racing stars, it has had its share of problems. Amid the crashes, there is also a tinge of fear in the air about the persistent problem of brake failures, which has scarred two of the previous races this season.
