The Kiwi, who made his second appearance after an impeccable Chicago race, did not fall short of success in his second stint. Because the Supercars champion has surely created a separate fan base of his own on the soil of America, The driver has created a sensation among NASCAR fans as well as veterans because of his stellar performances in both races. On Sunday, the track at Indianapolis was pervaded by celebrated drivers from all across the world, including Formula 1 champion Jenson Button and WEC champion Kamui Kobayashi.

However, they were not the ones that NASCAR spotter Brett Griffin was in awe of. In the latest episode of Door Bumper Clear, the spotter reveals his humorous encounter with one such driver and how he was stupefied and was unable to say a simple ‘hey’. The driver is none other than 2x Bathurst winner Shane Van Gisbergen.

Speaking on the unforeseen success and popularity of the Kiwi driver, Griffin expressed, “This is like Jason when he had an infatuation with Kyle Busch, now with the entry of SVG posters all over the bedroom, I guess.”

Continuing on the same lines, the spotter disclosed, “I went to the bathroom with the guy yesterday. I was in the bathroom when he came in.” The exclamation surely aroused the curiosity of the other two hosts and Casey Boats, as they wanted Griffin to spill the beans.

When asked if he could greet the driver, Griffin revealed, “No, the same thing happened to me, and Adam Sandler. Like Adam Sandler wanted to go the bathroom in Vegas, I was like- ‘F*ck that’s Adam Sandler, can’t say hey to him in the bathroom.’ So I didn’t say hey to SVG.”

After having a good laugh, fellow spotter Freddie Kraft added, “The best bathroom trip that Brett went on was when stood at the urinal mix with Brad Dorothy.”

“And Freddie took a picture. I am using a bathroom beside Brad Dorothy,” Griffin added.

“He is tall, they don’t make those things big enough for Brad Dorothy. He is 7 f*cking ft tall,” Kraft concluded.

To this, Bubba Wallace’s spotter retorted, “I’m spot on that he can take them, he can take 2 months off if he likes because he’s going to win races next year and be in the playoffs no matter what but listen I think it’s cool, the car looks cool I don’t know how you can tell that car apart from Scott Dixon’s because they look the same but yeah.”

However, Brett Griffin seemed to hold a different opinion. He revealed, “I don’t know maybe I guess, yeah he’s at the Penske track Penske Roger owns the track, like what an epic photo that was, listen I’m going to be spot off if it rains.”
