Joey Logano Asks Team Penske to Apologize to a Cursed Bubba Wallace After He “Screwed Up” at Road America

Bubba Wallace had yet another miserable race at Road America. The 23XI Racing driver’s day in Wisconsin was once again tainted by incidents that ruined his race.

And one of those incidents involved Joey Logano.

On lap 25, the Team Penske driver made contact with the #23 as he was taking a left turn. Logano clipped the left rear of the car as he squeezed into the apex at which Wallace had already turned into.

This led to both of the drivers spinning off the track, with Wallace ending up in the gravel.

After this, though, Logano asked his team to apologize to Wallace and the #23 team for doing what they did.

“Joey Logano asks team to apologize to the Bubba Wallace and the 23 team as he ‘just screwed up,'” journalist Jordan Bianchi reported.

Bubba Wallace took another trip to the gravel trap after Logano

After the Joey Logano incident, Bubba Wallace faced a race full of moments that ultimately led to yet another disappointing finish. The contact with Logano wasn’t the only time Wallace’s #23 would taste the gravel.

He later spun out after making some minor contact with Brad Keselowski, after which he found himself in the gravel trap, from which he got his car out of.

The #23 driver ended his day with a DNF after a brake failure, leading to another addition to his list of bad races this season. In the more recent races, in the last five races at least, Bubba Wallace only has one finish inside the top 20.

So considering the amount of money, the top level of the team (except for the pit crew perhaps?), the expectations riding on him as well as the general positioning of the Bubba Wallace brand amongst the fans, one wonders, if 23XI Racing will run out of patience with their driver?

Wallace would hope that doesn’t happen, but for that, he needs to deliver good results.
