Bubba Wallace, Ricky Stenhouse Jr., Michael McDowell, and Martin Truex Jr. are currently on the edge of a knife, just below the cutline for the next round of the playoffs. However, Truex’s situation is particularly unfortunate, as he has encountered tire issues in two out of three playoff races despite an otherwise stellar season.

Interestingly, a similar stroke of bad luck befell his former teammate, Kyle Busch, last year. Kyle suffered two engine failures with Joe Gibbs Racing during the round 16 races, leading to his elimination in the first round. Now, with his new team at RCR this year, he has encountered some recent problems. NASCAR insiders have come forward with a surprising revelation that could potentially alter the fortunes of both Kyle Busch and Michael Jordan’s driver, Bubba Wallace.

NASCAR insiders dissect the fate of Kyle Busch

In his debut season with Richard Childress Racing, Kyle Busch secured three victories, propelling himself into the playoffs. Remarkably, last week at Kansas, he started 35th but finished a remarkable 7th, showcasing the potential of the RCR-Kyle Busch partnership.

Kyle Busch has a storied history on the track, particularly excelling at concrete short tracks since his first win in 2007. The question arises: will this record continue this year? A NASCAR insider firmly believes so. During an episode of ‘GoPRN Live,’ a host recalled Kyle Busch’s eventful day in Kansas, where he managed to secure a top-10 finish despite not having the best car.

The host Alexis Erickson said, ?Somebody who also maybe didn?t have the best car yesterday had a really up and down day, but ended up eking out a top 10 and that?s Kyle Busch.”

?The conversation then shifted to Kyle Busch’s impressive record at Bristol. The host noted, ?And oh by the way, Kyle Busch is really really good at Bristol. In that #8 car, it?ll be interesting to see how good he can be in that car, he?s had flashes of brilliance this year obviously with wins, and getting into playoffs hasn?t been around as much as lately but I really feel like when his back is up against the wall, you add Kyle Busch and Bristol together and magic happens.?

Bubba Wallace faced a similar situation in the last race of the regular season when Chris Buescher’s victory helped secure Wallace’s playoff spot. Now, he’s 19 points below the cutoff in 14th place and needs a win at Bristol to advance. Unfortunately, Bristol hasn’t been kind to him.

Wallace has only secured one top-10 finish in his last nine Bristol starts. Kyle Busch’s prowess at the track adds to the challenge for Wallace. If Busch wins, it’s likely over for the 23XI driver.
