When Kyle Busch joined Richard Childress Racing after fifteen long years on Coach Gibbs’ side, fans immediately expected great things from the new star pairing. However, despite delivering mega performances in the first half of the season, Busch’s 2023 campaign failed to qualify out of the round of twelve. While his three wins this season were a step in the right direction from 2022, a lot more was left to be desired.

Although Busch absolved RCR of any blame for his rollercoaster of a season, a long-time Richard Childress Racing sponsor has extended its support to Kyle Busch’s efforts in 2024. Lucas Oil Products will not only serve as the primary sponsor for Busch in many Cup Series races but is also set to cover him during his grassroots Micro Sprint car venture in the Tulsa Shootout starting on December 26.

Their support for Kyle Busch isn’t without solid ground. After all, Busch awarded the brand their first Cup Series victory during their first race together at Autoclub Speedway in Fontana, Calif. The post was captioned, “Pumped to have @lucasoilproducts on board for my grassroots dirt program this year, Running 3 classes here @tulsashootout, let’s GO!”

Lucas Oil will also sponsor Busch’s son as he traverses the path to racing. Brexton Busch is currently eight years old and aims to follow in his father’s footsteps. Reflecting on Lucas Oil’s decade-spanning relationship with Richard Childress Racing and ECR engines, the director of partnership marketing for Lucas Oil Products, Brand Bernstein, believed the two powerhouses shared a common passion for motorsport from the grassroots to the highest levels. Expanding their relationship together only cements Lucas Oil and Richard Childress Racing’s commitment to a competent future. And whenever Kyle Busch is involved, it’s bound to be lucrative for both parties.

Bernstein shared in a statement, “We share Kyle’s passion for short-track racing and have seen first-hand the benefits of our partnership, especially as it relates to technology transfer over to short-track racers and everyday consumers. We’re proud to continue to commit our resources in R&D and production, and to highlight our premier oil performance with sponsorship of the No. 8 Chevrolet.”
