So, Dave Moody is upset. After all, it is disappointing to see an awaited package getting drenched in the rain! And unfortunately, that’s what happened to him. But wait, what does Denny Hamlin has to do with any of it?

Well, Hamlin must be laughing and thinking the same.

In a recent tweet, Dave Moody tagged the delivery company FedEx, complaining about a recent delivery they made.

However, as soon as the tweet was up, NASCAR fans started tagging Denny Hamlin in the comment section.

Hamlin, who drives the #11 FedEx for Joe Gibbs Racing has been associated with the transportation company since 2005. And though the NASCAR driver has nothing to do with what happened with Moody, fans saw this as the perfect opportunity to have some fun.

Most Twitter users asked Moody to reach out to Hamlin for help. Whereas, some others joked that it was Denny Hamlin himself who made the delivery.

It’s worth mentioning that Hamlin’s contract with Joe Gibbs Racing (JGR) and FedEx is set to expire by the end of the year in 2023.

Apart from his driving career, Hamlin co-owns the NASCAR team 23XI Racing along with Michael Jordan. However, with the end of his contract with JGR, there is a probability that his full-time racing career might come to a halt.

Will Denny Hamlin retire from Joe Gibbs Racing and FedEx as a sponsor?

Denny Hamlin made his NASCAR Cup Series debut in 2005. And since then, he has been associated with Joe Gibbs Racing, driving the #11 FedEx car. With an association as long as this, it’s not very far-fetched to imagine the Daytona 500 champion competing full-time without his team or sponsor.

But that’s what happened with his former teammate Kyle Busch in 2022.

Hamlin had, in an episode of Dale Jr Download, confessed he would happily retire from JGR if his contract with FedEx is not renewed.

“Not if FedEx extends. I would love to retire to Gibbs FedEx because it is so unique to have a sponsor who has been a part of the sport for as long as he has and has supported me for as long as he has. There’s just no way to leave them,” Hamlin said as per USA Sports.

Furthermore, he claimed if FedEx decides to leave, he might not continue his full-time racing career.

“Maybe I’ll just do a race or two or so at this point. But I’d like to stop FedEx at Gibbs. But when things change, things change and then you have to reevaluate,” the veteran added.
