Over the course of the 2023 season, the Cup Series has definitely delivered some of the most exciting races in recent memory with the Chicago Street Race and a historic return to North Wilkesboro. But one series stood out like a sore thumb in terms of its growing popularity when we talk about dirt track racing. It was Kyle Larson’s High Limit Sprint Car series.
After establishing the series with his brother-in-law, Brad Sweet, in 2022, Larson took home the championship in its inaugural season last year. But it wasn’t all that easy for the series owner, as Rico Abreu was right up there to give him a fight to the very end. Ever since the 2014 USAC Midget Series champion’s popularity has been on the rise. Now, what if we said you could take home a life-sized version of the racer?

Accompanying the 4ft 4inch racer is also the sketch of his adorable furry friend, Gus.
The California native also shared that the way to enter the giveaway would be through his website, shop.ricoabreu.com, where spots are available for fans to pick up worth $10. Among other things that fans can pick up from the Rico Abreu shop is a customised video shootout which is worth $45, with the community also having the choice to get all the merchandise they order from the store signed by Abreu for a price of $8.
For those wanting to flaunt their love for the sprint car action, Abreu also has a metal sprint car cutout available for $30, which measures 12.5×9 inches approximately. It’s no secret that Abreu’s debut season alongside High Limit’s inauguration created the perfect recipe for championship-winning success. But it was ultimately spoiled by Larson’s dominant win, leaving a lot to be desired from the next season. With the original plan of running a true outlaw schedule in 2024 falling apart, Abreu sets his sights on sticking with the High Limit Sprint Car series full-time in 2024, taking the championship battle to Larson at all 60 races.
The California native not only felt that Larson and Sweet were creating the perfect series for sprint car lovers, but also had immense respect for the charter system being introduced soon. He was quoted by SpeedSport, “This is all long-term down the road and I think it’s very important that I support people like that who are trying to lead the front of our industry and I believe in the product of sprint car. I look at this as a three-year plan for me. When you race for a title, you just work to build towards that.”
Abreu went on to explain that now that the team had collected significant data from the first season to understand the benchmark, the coming seasons were going to be nothing but all-out brawls to the championship.
