In May of 2022, Kurt delivered his 34th Cup Series victory at Kansas. Two months after the win, Busch had to go through an unfortunate crash that triggered the beginning of the end for him. With the qualifying session at Pocono being the backdrop, he endured a concussion that was incredibly difficult for him to recover from. Owing to this he announced that he had to opt out of driving full-time for 23XI Racing and was eventually replaced by Tyler Reddick in the #45.

Following the declaration of his retirement plans, he posted a video on Instagram that takes one back to the glorious career he has had. Being one of NASCAR’s 75 greatest drivers, Kurt Busch has an undeniable influence on the community. Eminent personalities and organizations from the industry came together to voice their pride over witnessing a magnificent career.
