How does a person like their sandwich? However you do, make sure it does not offend Dale Earnhardt Jr. The Hall of Famer is strictly against using mayonnaise inside the grilled sandwiches. Even if someone insists on using mayonnaise inside the toast, they can expect to face the same fate as the residents of Toast, North Carolina.

Dale Jr’s longtime sponsor pleads innocence after a strange incident plagues the town of Toast

The simple art of having a grilled sandwich evokes so many senses. The crispiness of the bread, the cheese pull and not to forget the salty butter. Oh wait, is it butter that we mentioned? That is absolute blasphemy, especially for Dale Earnhardt Jr and his long-standing partner Hellmann who have been advocating the use of mayonnaise on the outside of the toast instead of the inside.

However, if a person still prefers to walk their customary way of using the condiment, then they might witness a strange case of the box of the condiment vanishing from the household. This strange behavior was witnessed in the quaint town of Toast. The residents of the town complained about how the jars of condiments had gone missing or were seized by the members of the Commission of the Condiment. A resident complained, “One that took my mayonnaise is the Condiment Commission.”

However, the Mayor of the town asserted that he was unaware of any such commission. He stated, “I don’t know anything about of the Condiment Commission. I was on a golf trip.” Nevertheless, another resident finally revealed the identity of one member of the commission. The lady revealed, “A race car driver was with them.” Well, you guessed it correctly- it was Dale Earnhardt Jr.

However, Dale Jr’s primary sponsor Hellmann simply denied having any connection with the body. The brand wrote on Instagram, “We don’t know anything about the Commission for Condiment Use…”

This is not the first time that the residents of Toast were left baffled by such an incident.

Dale Earnhardt Jr’s partnership with the Hellmann had its inception back in 2009 when the driver piloted a Hellmann-mayo sponsored car in Daytona in the Xfinity Series. Since then, there has been no turning back in their relationship. Moreover, a video went viral when Dale Jr was seen making a banana sandwich with mayonnaise.

Nevertheless, it was in March when the former Cup Series driver himself visited Toast and went door-to-door to spread the message that the mayonnaise when used as a substitute for butter tastes much better than when spread inside the bread. Speaking to FOX, Junior expressed, “I think they (Hellmann’s) are trying to share with people just how good mayo is outside the toast. If you ever made a grilled cheese sandwich and you put butter on outside, we’re trying to convince people to try out with mayonnaise instead. It’s like a thousand times better.”

Well, it seems it is time to re-write the recipe for making a perfect grilled cheese sandwich and perhaps put mayonnaise instead of butter on the outside of the bread. And do not forget to let us know if it makes it any better.
