NASCAR fans have been repeatedly complaining about the Fox Sports broadcast. Already, people were not in the best of moods because the race at the Circuit of The Americas was pretty chaotic. There were multiple collisions, especially at the tight Turn 1 hairpin. However, there were several more incidents that flew under the radar.

This included one between Joey Logano and Christopher Bell. All of this was simply because broadcaster Fox Sports did not catch them. However, the fans did, and they were not at all happy with the quality of the broadcast.

Of course, there were some justifications, but Fox Sports was not fully forgiven. On Reddit, one fan said, “I don’t really have an issue if they don’t want to focus on it live when the battle for the lead was far more important at the time. But they’ve got to at least go back to it and let people know what happened.”

The Joey Logano incident was not the only one missed by cameras

Some fans even noted that this was not an isolated incident, and there was one occasion during the Xfinity race. They said, “Yep, and they did the same thing Saturday with Burton’s last lap wreck. Brad was saying there was a wreck, but FOX was too focused on AJ celebrating. And they never went back to show what happened. The only way people found out was a clip posted to Twitter.”

There was also another example that Brad Keselowski highlighted. Talking about that, a fan revealed, “Brad mentioned a huge wreck on the front stretch with Jeb. And then you just see his name on the pylon plummeting, and that was it. Broadcast straight up did not care.”

Of course, it did not take long before people became very sarcastic. One fan said, “They’ve got bowling to get to, can’t be showing any of that unimportant stuff”.

Few people even had a feeling that Fox Sports would be capable of missing some truly iconic events if they ever broadcasted. One person observed, “I said it in a different thread yesterday, but I truly believe Fox would have missed the hail melon if they were covering that race”.

Safe to say, not many people were happy to rely on social media for things that should have been caught on the broadcast. A fan snarked, “Random people on social media once again doing Fox’s job. But hey, at least we got that massive “improvement” of Chase joining the broadcast via Zoom, even though the booth already had 4 people in it – right?”

Hopefully, for the fans, Fox Sports does more to provide better content. There are still plenty of races left for the broadcast media giants to redeem themselves.
