It’s no secret that the NASCAR community isn’t too pleased with the officials as of late. A few days ago, Denny Hamlin kick-started a feud with Marcus Smith and NASCAR officials over the poor construction of Sonoma Raceway’s new tarmac. However, he wasn’t the only one who had enough of lackluster racing and deteriorating race tracks. Veteran insider Jeff Gluck went on what many consider an ‘all gas no brakes’ rant against short track racing’s current state of affairs. However, the insider wasn’t able to handle the pressure and the 23XI co-owner.
After Dirty Mo Media tweeted out a snippet of Gluck’s rant from the latest episode of the teardown, the NASCAR community immediately caught wind of Gluck’s views and it blew out of proportion for the insider. But now that he’s working with Dale Earnhardt Jr’s media crew, the new boss believes Gluck’s just gotta get used to it!

Dale Earnhardt Jr believes it’ll take Jeff Gluck time to get used to Dirty Mo Media’s shenanigans
To gather some backstory about why Gluck was so upset with his rant gaining traction on X, let’s take a look at how tensions boiled over after another week of lackluster short-track racing. Over the newest episode of The Teardown, Gluck shared some harsh words against NASCAR officials about the state of short-track racing. To sum it up, he stated, “I’ll tell you what’s tearing down the sport, it’s this terrible short track racing, it’s awful. It’s to the point where it’s like, embarrassing.”
I got upset, which is kind of embarrassing to watch back, but right after that race the frustration was flowing. 😞 https://t.co/lVqpKnrSWl

Gluck used his insights as a veteran to point out the flaws of modern-day short tracks. But once the clip started gaining traction on X, he had no choice but to clarify his stance. He shared, “I got upset, which is kind of embarrassing to watch back, but right after that race the frustration was flowing. 😞” But not everyone agreed with his apology. Even his boss at Dirty Mo Media, Earnhardt Jr, felt there wasn’t a need for one at all.
Elaborating his defense of Gluck’s comments further on the Dale Jr Download, the host stated; “If Jeff Gluck felt bad about going a little hard on NASCAR and short track racing, good job on Dirty Mo Media for cutting a clip and putting it out for everyone to see. Speaking of which, his co-hosts shared their hilarious reaction to Gluck’s tweet, “It’s so funny, I went downstairs to the social room, I’m like, did you guys see Jeff Gluck? He tweeted, he feels bad about it. And Colby’s like, “I just cut that clip.”
Whilst some couldn’t help but laugh at Gluck’s wholesome regret, Earnhardt Jr wondered if the Dirty Mo Media way was an uncanny territory for the veteran insider. He stated, “They’ve been doing the teardown forever but would they then cut clips and put it on social media? And would it be out of his control what clip would be cut?”
Although Junior made it clear that Gluck could request to have it taken down, he was curious to know, “I wonder if since joining with us, now that we’re chopping clips and sending out sound bites, he’s like “Oh goodness! I didn’t know it was gonna get pushed out and promoted so much.” I’m curious.”

While it’s safe to say Earnhardt Jr empathized with Jeff Gluck’s regret over his innocent rant, the JR Motorsports owner also credited his insider for his professional resilience.

Despite Jeff Gluck being rather apologetic for his words against short-track racing, Earnhardt Jr believed the veteran insider had maintained professionalism throughout his rant. Not once had the insider stepped out of line and brought in personal information, as Denny Hamlin had done during his bout with Marcus Smith. Speaking of which, Junior believes he himself wouldn’t have fared as well as Gluck had done under the same circumstances.
The JR Motorsports owner shared; “

Even with all the frustrations boiling over, Gluck maintained a sense of respect as he pointed out the flaws with how ‘embarrassing’ racing had become. In comparison, Junior felt his reaction wouldn’t sit well with most – “He got to it and said what he had to say but he didn’t get personal or talk in circles. Me, I get mad, I get personal, I’ll talk in a circle. I’ll say something just like Kenny Wallace and take 8 minutes when it only needs about to.”

While it’s safe to say Kenny Wallace might’ve caught a stray bullet with that one, Jeff Gluck can perhaps relax a little after escaping the community and NASCAR’s crosshairs with Junior’s aid.
