The Daytona 500, Winston 500, Coca-Cola 600, and Southern 500 are four of the most important races in the Cup Series. What makes them so special? Well, these four races are called the Crown Jewel of NASCAR. And winning all four crown jewels means a driver has earned the crown jewel. And there are some drivers very close to earning one.

There are only a few drivers in the history of NASCAR who have won all four Crown Jewel races. Some of them are Dale Earnhardt, Jimmie Johnson, Kevin Harvick, and, of course, Jeff Gordon, who has the most wins at crown jewel races.

Surely, these are four of the most legendary drivers in the Cup Series. But there are two drivers who are very close to achieving the feat.

The two drivers who are yet to win one race to earn the Grand Slam are Kyle Busch, and Brad Keselowski. And both drivers need to win the Daytona 500 to complete the quartet.

Well, all for different reasons. The Daytona 500 is the richest race, with the winner earning a whopping $2 million. Moreover. the first NASCAR race was held at Daytona Beach.

Southern 500, held at Darlington Raceway, is the oldest track on the Calendar.

Charlotte Motor Speedway’s Coca-Cola 600 is the longest race.

The Winston 500 makes the final race of the 4 Crown Jewels, being the fastest race.
