Out-of-Seat Driver Matt DiBenedetto Reveals the Reason He Deactivated His Twitter Account

Matt DiBenedetto, NASCAR Driver for Wood Brothers Racing, recently deactivated his Twitter account after the race in Martinsville. This led to many people speculating about his reason for taking himself off of the social media website.

But the driver posted a video on his Instagram account explaining why he did so.

He called Twitter a space that is “too far gone.” 

“It’s filled with so much hate and negativity and everyone attacking everyone for everything.”

DiBenedetto shared a point his wife made to give him some perspective.

He said that at this point if somebody posted a picture of the blue sky and referred to the sky’s color as blue, people will still criticize that, accusing the person of being insensitive to the sky’s own identification of its color.

DiBenedetto, who wasn’t upset by any means, seemed hopeless to the point of finding humor in the situation while also expressing his sadness.

“Our world has gone made people, it’s sad, it’s just sad to see.”

Matt DiBenedetto needs to find a ‘vehicle’ for next season

Having deactivated his account and cutting down on the ‘vehicles’ to express his thoughts, the driver will be focusing on finding another, a literal kind of vehicle for 2022.

Matt DiBenedetto, who sits in 19th position in the rankings this season, still remains without a seat for next year.

In October, SiriusXM’s Danielle Trotta revealed that DiBenedetto is in talks of finding a drive potentially in either of the three series of NASCAR.

However, he put forward a special condition for his future employer: it needs to be a team that allows him to be himself and doesn’t censor him.

Whether DiBenedetto reactivates or comes back on Twitter won’t be the most of his or his fan’s worries, considering its absence isn’t affecting him.

But the driver and his fans will hope for and focus on ruling out another potential absence, which is of him not racing next season.
