Scott Melton suffered a vicious crash during the General Tire 200 race at Talladega Superspeedway. As the driver of the number 69 car suffered the crash, he was immediately transported to a local Alabama hospital for further check-ups.

However, a day later Scott posted on Facebook about his current situation. He stated that he received a helicopter ride to the hospital after the dangerous crash in Birmingham, Alabama. While everyone wished him a speedy recovery and good luck with his well-being, a user had an interesting question to ask.

The user asked in the comment section of Scott’s Facebook post, “How was the helicopter ride? Had to (be) better than the ride on the track. Hope you heal quickly!!” To reply to his question, Scott responded, “Prefer the track. They refused to let me fly the helicopter, must have been because my left foot was flipping all around. Thanks.”

NASCAR Reported Chris Knight has further confirmed, ”ARCA: A Kimmel Racing spokesperson confirms that Scott Melton is in stable condition at a local Alabama hospital and has suffered a compound fracture in his left leg after being involved in an accident during today’s ARCA Menards Series race at Talladega Superspeedway.”

The ARCA Menards Series driver suffered the crash just after Richard Garvie hooked Toni Breidinger at the Talladega Superspeedway. Soon after the duo hit each other, Eric Caudell spun into the infield to go right in front of Scott on lap 48 on Saturday, a day before the race.
