The #33 car is special for Richard Childress Racing, as it was driven by Dale Earnhardt and Clint Bowyer in the past. RCR retired their car after Dale Earnhardt’s death, but they brought it back for Clint Bowyer in 2009. However, Bowyer left RCR in 2012, and the car was retired once again.

Once again, RCR is planning to bring back the car for the Indianapolis race, and fans widely appreciated the entry.

After entering the NASCAR race, SVG, the Australian 3x Supercar Champion, achieved an impressive feat by winning his debut race, earning him fame among the established NASCAR drivers. Adding to the excitement, another Supercars driver is set to join Richard Childress Racing in August, driving their renowned number 33 car.

Brodie Kostecki is all set to drive the RCR’s number 33 car in Indy in the 2023 Verizon 200 at the Brickyard. The car is sponsored by MobileX and will feature a black-and-white paint scheme. And he shared a photo of the #33 car along with his appreciation for RCR for giving him a golden chance to drive their iconic car.

After the announcement, fans eagerly filled the comment section with good wishes for the driver and expressed their great anticipation for the upcoming Indy race. The number associated with the car served as a reminder for fans, invoking the rich legacy and history connected to that particular number.

As SVG got a chance to race in NASCAR under Trackhouse Racing’s “Project 91”, one fan recalled and commented on RCR’s entry, “Project 33”
