Denny Hamlin will have to begin the chase in 2024 again. Following his elimination from the NASCAR Cup Series playoffs, the dry run in pursuit of a championship continues for the Joe Gibbs Racing veteran. However, that hasn’t stopped the 42-year-old from missing out on the Halloween celebrations this year. The ancient tradition to ward off paranormal spirits has been a big celebration in the community over the years, and from the looks of it, Hamlin is all in for it.

Costumes are an essential part of the annual Halloween celebrations. People choose to dress up as a fictional character or a person from their lives to join the celebration, and this particular aspect of the festival has found suitors in huge numbers. Hamlin is the latest driver to join the club, and his attire for the spooky season represents none other than his co-host and long-time partner.

Denny Hamlin gears up for Halloween by turning into ‘Purple Guy 560’

Hamlin and his partner, Jarred Allen, have been known as a dynamic duo in the community. Like Dale Earnhardt Jr. and his childhood friend and partner Mike Davis, the team has been the X-factor behind the podcast Actions Detrimental. Hamlin and Allen dissect the ongoing issues in the sport alongside their guests, share their valuable opinions, and even dive deeper into the details of races.

However, on Halloween’s Eve, Denny Hamlin decided to move away from the weekly gossip on the podcast. Dressed in a similar attire to Allen’s professional look, the 23XI owner shared his images on social media platforms. The seemingly spoof costume also has a description on its packaging. It shows the list of components, including a purple sleeveless vest, a hard-printed NASCAR ID, Hamlin’s appreciated Kyle Larson stickers, and the most humorous detail of the costume, a black marker to make a gap in the teeth.

The images show Hamlin with a gap between his teeth and a friendly, light-hearted dig at Allen. It looks like the black marker was used ideally by Denny Hamlin. The NASCAR fandom has also seemingly moved on from the untimely elimination of the #11 driver. After looking at Hamlin’s look for the special day, the fans have taken a liking to Denny Hamlin’s choice of detailing with the molar gap.

Hamlin’s eye for detail is commendable. Resonating with his vibe, fans chimed in on the conversation by appreciating the funny gesture from the JGR driver. The dress as media personnel enticed the fans as they flocked to the post. One of the fans quickly noticed the use of the black marker to make the representation minutely accurate. He commented, “Even got the gap in the teeth. This is great.”

Another fan on Instagram thought that Hamlin could have avoided the teeth, but the addition makes it even more comic, as he said, lol, the teeth were uncalled for.” The comment section was mostly filled with fans and Denny’s teammate, Ty Gibbs, who called Hamlin ‘Granola’.

“The gap is nuts”, “Mind the gap“, and “Tooth is a crisp touch” were some of the other comments that pointed out the small takeaway from Hamlin. Another fan threw some sarcasm into the conversation as he claimed that Denny did Jarred dirty with this move. He wrote,

“Yooo, you didn’t have to do him dirty with the teeth.”
