Danica Patrick is a former NASCAR and IndyCar driver who now has her own podcast, ‘Pretty Intense’. In one of her latest podcast episodes, she sat down with a spiritual counselor and author, Sheleana Aiyana, where she discussed what exactly does healing looks like.

During her interaction, Danica asked, “Healing is, I’ve found to be very hard. There’s a lot of pain, crying, and confusion. I wonder if we have to go through the fire to come out on the other side.”

“And so you are talking about writing a book to help people become the one in their relationship.”

“You had to go through your own fire to do that and I really wonder, are there any shortcuts? Is there anywhere that we can heal, grow and evolve without having to go through the fire?”

To this, Aiyana responded by saying, that growth is something that comes from challenges and that relationships are a great medium for one’s spiritual growth. She also mentions that sometimes relationships can be hard and yield painful and bad moments. Her solution is that one should embrace those hardships that come with a relationship.

She says even though it might get messy to lay it all out on the table, one should consider it as a gift.
