The big NASCAR personality is not happy with how things are going in the sport and feels the governing body should do more in order to have a great fan experience. Moreover, Griffin also shared his grief that the people in charge don’t “seem” to reinvest the money they pick up from the ticket sales.

In the weekly podcast of Spotify’s Door Bumper Clear, Brett Griffin shared, “I think two big statements remain this weekend and the biggest one is this track. Listen, when you hear about TV money as a fan, you hear of the TV money. The majority of the money goes to two entities are the tracks and NASCAR. That’s when you get the big checks, okay. The majority of the checks goes to, they don’t seem to be reinvesting in their facility.”

The NASCAR spotter believes the governing body of NASCAR should sit and discuss what’s necessary to have a better fan experience and make the sport grow in a positive way. Moreover, the Spotter is also of the opinion that some of the tracks need changes and remodeling. Griffin conveyed this, “They need to sit down and collaborate with these guys and change the model for these other tracks.”

“If I’m Steve O’Donnell of NASCAR……I’m gonna go straight to the track and I’m gonna say show me the economics of what you did. Because obviously the track will still have to make some money. But if he sells 70-80 million worth of tickets, he got the TV check coming in, how much money is the track making? It’s a lot but were they reinvested there?”, the American international continued.
