What are the most bizarre places where a person can think of meeting their favorite personality? A funeral? Well, that’s a bit too dark, but not improbable. Then there are coffee shops, restaurants and shops that are the ideal places to come face-to-face or get star-struck. However, another eccentric place to get star-struck is perhaps a restroom, and the recent encounter between Clint Bowyer and a fan seems to have left the FOX Sports analyst baffled.

The 2024 Cup Series season marked the fourth year of Clint Bowyer as a NASCAR analyst. The former Cup Series driver who is joined by his long-time friend Kevin Harvick and the famed play-by-play broadcaster Mike Joy in the ongoing season of NASCAR, seemed to have been left in search of words after a fan recalled meeting him. To add to his baffling state, the words chosen by the fan seemed to have irked the FOX analyst.

FOX Sports, which is in charge of broadcasting the first half of the NASCAR season, has seen a rotation of analysts during the 2022 and the 2023 seasons. However, the 2024 season sounds a bit different as Clint Bowyer is joined by his boon companion Kevin Harvick after his retirement from professional racing. Nevertheless, after living an illustrious life as a driver, Bowyer had enthralled the racing community with his in-depth analysis after taking up the microphone.

Bowyer, who still enjoys his job as a broadcaster in his fourth year, seemed to have come across a plethora of faces owing to his massive popularity. As a result, he might have dished out autographs to his fans and also posed for selfies for many. But another fan has a different story to tell of meeting the former Cup Series driver.

A fan took to Twitter to narrate his tale of meeting Bowyer. He stated, “Can’t say that I met him exactly, but I did stand next to him at the urinal at Carowinds and had to desperately not to try to make small talk with .”

The post by the fan not only seemed to have taken Clint Bowyer by surprise but also the choice of words to describe the meeting. The usage of the term “urinal” did not settle well with the FOX analyst. He replied to the post, What the……You could’ve worded that better.”

It seems that it was not just the fan who was star-struck inside a restroom but also spotter Brett Griffin. The spotter recalled a similar instance that he had faced in person. He commented under the post, “Feel like I’ve seen this play out in person before.”

In an episode of Door Bumper and Clear, the spotter recalled having an awkward moment with the famed Golden Globe winner actor Adam Sandler and Shane Van Gisbergen in two different instances. Speaking to his co-hosts, Griffin narrated an incident where he and Adam Sandler shared a washroom at the same time, but he was too stupefied to say a ‘hello’ to the actor.

The spotter stated, “The same thing happened to me, and Adam Sandler. Like Adam Sandler wanted to go the bathroom in Vegas, I was like- ‘F*ck that’s Adam Sandler, can’t say hey to him in the bathroom.’ So I didn’t say hey to SVG.”

Hearing his friend’s apprehension, Freddie Kraft added, “The best bathroom trip that Brett went on was when stood at the urinal mix with Brad Dorothy.”

Well, these instances are surely worth remembering and are permanently scribed in one’s heart. Nevertheless, with that being said, it will be interesting to see what more is in store from the FOX broadcasters in the upcoming races, as NASCAR moves to the iconic track of Phoenix.
