NASCAR drivers are known for the hard battles at race tracks and are willing to take risks to win races. But Josh Williams is different from them. He uses his platform as a NASCAR driver to bring joy and inspiration to children who are facing serious illnesses.

It all started in 2015, when his team decided to host a girl who was fighting the fatal disease leukemia. After the race, Williams visited the girl at Saint Joseph’s Children’s Hospital in Tampa, and he completed his first hospital visit.

Williams decided to continue visiting children’s hospitals as a way to give back to the community and to help other children who were facing serious illnesses. Williams’s hospital visits are typically brief, but he always makes sure to spend time with each child. He talks to them about their favorite things, plays games with them, and signs autographs. He also gives them a small gift, such as a racecar toy or a piece of clothing with his signature on it.

Interestingly, He has visited over 150 hospitals in person and has interacted with thousands of children. But his recent mission went wrong, and it became a topic of sarcasm.

Josh Williams is more than a racing driver for society.

At Seacrest Studios, one of No. 92 Chevy’s initiatives, kids can explore radio, television, and new media, and they can even participate in programs that are broadcast to patient rooms within the hospital. It also allows children to play games and participate in arts and crafts, among other creative outlets.

Josh Williams has been working for the Ryan Seacrest Foundation since 2016. The foundation also appreciates Josh’s support. The foundation’s executive director said, “We are so thankful for the ongoing support from Josh Williams and his team.”

However, he has been appreciated for his efforts and this unique approach, but his recent Twitter post encouraged sarcastic responses from fans. He posted his photo, giving a thumbs up with a wide smile, and captioned it,

“Just saying hi to some friends. 😁 @NASCAR_Xfinity

Promise I won’t be back here tonight”

Surprisingly, one of the comments recalled his “Parking” incident, which is discussed later in the article.

In March 2023, at Atlanta Motor Speedway, Williams became a victim in a crash where a small piece of his car broke. His team made adjustments and used bear bond (strong adhesive repair tape) to stick the broken part to his car, but, it fell off because it couldn’t stick with the cold weather. The tape fell off on the track, causing another caution flag, and eventually, NASCAR declared him disqualified for the race. To protest NASCAR’s decision, Williams parked his car at the Start-finish line.

Josh said to Fox when they focused him on camera, “What are they going to do, fine me? I can’t afford to pay it.”

NASCAR officials came to Williams’s car and asked him to move it, but he refused. He was eventually escorted off the track by security and suspended for the next race at the Circuit of the Americas.

The comment referred to this incident and commented, “Where are you parking tonight?”

Some other sarcastic comments read, “Where’s the fun in THAT?”

“Preemptive visit?”
