Whenever the NASCAR off-season rolls around or a driver ties the knot, it seems like there’s a bit of a trend in the air. Ever since Kyle Busch set the pace, getting married on New Year’s Eve has become quite the thing among the NASCAR crowd. This year, keeping that NASCAR tradition in high gear, racing duo Natalie Decker and Derek Lemke exchanged vows, adding to the festive cheer.

But evidently, not every NASCAR couple is racing to the altar on New Year’s Eve. Take Zane Smith and his fiancée, who chose to steer clear of the usual pomp and picked a more chilled-out date for their big day. Just a little while ago, they let everyone in on their plans for tying the knot. And well, now they’ve zoomed past the finish line into married life! The couple has been sharing some extremely sweet pictures of their wedding day on Instagram, offering us a sneak peek into their happy moments.

Remember back in April 2022, when he hopped onto Twitter to share his engagement news? Well, that was just the start. Fast forward to 2024, and he’s officially off the singles’ grid—he and his fiancée just said, ‘I do.’ McCall Smith, Zane Smith’s bride, couldn’t resist sharing some of their beautiful wedding day snaps with her followers.

The caption read, “01.11.24. The best day of our lives becoming Husband and Wife 🤍”  Moreover, McCall Smith also shared a few Instagram stories. Starting with her own and Zane Smith’s hand with a ring, she wrote “woke up married,” while other stories were simply the reshares from the people who wished us.

While Zane is the new driver on the block in the Cup Series, he’s already showing that age is just a number if you’ve got the talent to back it up. But racing isn’t the only thing he’s acing. After a six-year-long love story, he asked McCall Gaulding to marry him right on the beach in 2022. How they first crossed paths might still be a bit of a mystery, but I’d bet my last dollar that racing played a starring role in their love story.

With his personal life hitting such a high note, it looks like Zane’s career is also on a winning streak. Maybe it’s that newlywed glow or just Lady Luck smiling down on him.

Controversies, gossip, and breakneck speeds? Count me in! While F1 has its charm, NASCAR helps me relive those "Roadrash" gaming days. My favorite among the drivers has to be Tyler Reddick. The 23XI Racing pilot is not only likable but also a complete beast when he is on track, more specifically, road courses.
