“Wtf Was That!” – NASCAR Community Including Bubba Wallace React to Crazy Verstappen-Hamilton F1 Finish in Abu Dhabi

The 2021 F1 season has finally concluded and Max Verstappen is the new World Champion. However, the manner in which he won his maiden title was fairly controversial. Right from the start, there was no quarter given between the two title contenders, Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen. Unfortunately, this was also a race where the two drivers appeared to push the limits of the F1 rules, and many NASCAR drivers reacted to the race.
And we give Steve OD a hard time…😂😂😂
Wtf was that?!?

Unbelievable how they changed the rules at the end of the race!

The final drama unfolded after a strange FIA decision allowed second-placed Verstappen to overtake lapped cars. This meant that he was able to line up behind race leader Hamilton. With the race resuming with one lap to go, the Red Bull driver got a good run on the Mercedes star. Sensing an opportunity, the Dutchman overtook the Briton to win the race.
How did the NASCAR community react to the race?
Bubba Wallace commented on the bizarre officiating decisions and confessed that they mostly baffled him. He joked that this kind of a situation was worse than what they often gave NASCAR vice president Steve O’Donnell a ‘hard time’ for. Meanwhile, his new teammate Kurt Busch was simply happy to see the F1 title fight go right down to the wire.
We know what it’s like to crown a new champion.

On a similar note, Corey LaJoie was eagerly looking for a potential fight off the track. This time, the opponents would be the aggrieved Mercedes team and the victorious Red Bull team. In reply, Alex Bowman joked that the scene would play out exactly the same as his behaviour after his Nashville burnout.

Kyle Larson was in attendance at Abu Dhabi, and he certainly got his money’s worth. Admittedly, there were a few who believed that Mercedes cost Hamilton the title with poor strategy calls. Some got the impression that they were far too conservative because they did not want to lose track position. In hindsight, while the track position may have been a factor, but Hamilton’s pace could have made up for it.
