It was a quiet yet eventful race at Kansas Speedway. Although the race was the main attraction at the AdventHealth 400, it was the throwing of punches at each other that overshadowed the first victory of Denny Hamlin after 33 races. The fistfight between Noah Gragson and Ross Chastain grabbed the attention of the whole NASCAR grid and was the topic of discussion in NASCAR podcasts, including Door Bumper Clear.

Even Bubba Wallace’s spotter, Freddie Kraft, couldn’t help but show his discontent while also highlighting the funnier side of this brawl.

Freddie Kraft vents his anger at Noah Gragson’s recklessness

The reason behind locking horns between the two drivers was that Ross Chastain had shoved the rookie Cup Series driver Noah Gragson to the outside wall. While the whole grid was busy rejoicing Denny Hamlin’s victory, the two drivers got entangled in a heated argument, that forced Ross Chastain to land a punch at Noah’s face. 

And this quarrel seems to be one of the main subjects of discussion, on the latest episode of Door Bumper Clear, where Freddie Kraft elaborated on the quarrel and what went wrong. He opined, “Listen, you can’t go up there like I heard his interview afterward. It is like somebody’s gonna grab him. No, you are not gonna grab him and punch him in the face. If you grab him, you are gonna get punched down in the face. Which you did.”

Freddie Kraft also explained, “And you know, like, even on the racetrack, he took a couple of shots out at him and he almost hurt us. We were chasing Ross down for 4th, last 20 laps or so. And we are catching him up, catching Noah, and I wasn’t aware they were having a feud at this point.”

Furthermore, he added to his elaborations, “We are on the top. Noah takes a swipe at Ross and completely misses him and tax us up. He ends in front of us in the top lane and costs us. So you are technically helping Ross. It is just like Mobb Deep, there is no such thing as halfway crooks, either you are gonna do this or you are not. Like if you are mad at the guy, go punch him. If you are gonna wreck him, wreck him on the racetrack. Like, don’t be a half a** about that.”

However, the NASCAR spotter and his co-hosts seem to agree with Kraft’s explanation of the funnier part of the brawl. Kraft pointed out that Chastain asked Gragson to let go of his uniform multiple times. However, since Gragson did not heed his warnings, he had to bear the brunt of Chastain’s frustration.

Kraft exclaimed, “Boom! Now I am gonna clock the jaw. Like that’s the funniest thing about the whole video. Listen, if you are gonna go in there, you better go in there swinging.”

The partner of Couch Racer, also added, “It is just like Dazed and Confused, you are the kind of guy, who go and punch him up one time and break it up before it gets to you. That’s what these guys are doing. They are going into these fights, knowing we are not going to get into a fight.”

Furthermore, he humorously adds, “If you are gonna get into it, you better go swinging. Because now you just look like an idiot.”

Well, lessons are learned the hard way. Just like Noah Gragson, who lost his composure and entered into a fight without throwing the first punch. The question is, will he change for the better, and be a responsible driver who does not hold on to grudges? Or will he be another driver who feels the wrath of the audience for his temper?
