Lakers Injury Report: LeBron James and Anthony Davis’ Status Remains Unchanged vs Kings
Follow Us
The Los Angeles Lakers have been on fire recently. They have beaten two elite teams in their last two games, the Milwaukee Bucks and the Minnesota Timberwolves. LeBron James and Co. look to continue their hot streak by getting a win tomorrow night against the Sacramento Kings. Unfortunately, the Lakers might have to play tomorrow’s game extremely shorthanded as their superstars, LeBron James and Anthony Davis, are on the injury report.
According to the Lakers’ latest injury report, LeBron and AD are still struggling with their lingering injuries. LeBron’s status for tomorrow’s game is questionable, as he has been dealing with left ankle peroneal tendinopathy. Anthony Davis is also on the injury report, as his status is probable due to bilateral Achilles tendinopathy.

Their absence could cause the Lakers to lose momentum because LeBron and AD have played brilliantly all season.
LeBron James’ stats this season
Even at age 39, LeBron James is proving he is still one of the best players in the league. King James has been highly efficient in his 21st season, averaging 25.3 points, 8 assists, and 7.1 rebounds. He has only missed 9 games so far, which is commendable considering his 35.1 minutes per game usage rate. The Lakers have a 5-4 record in the 9 games LeBron has missed this season. While many expected LeBron to take a backseat in his 21st season, he has led the Lakers from the front and carried them to a 36-30 record.
LeBron has been playing through his ankle injury for several weeks and has been in and out of the lineup because of it. He most recently missed Friday’s game against the Bucks, dealing with the same issue. However, the Lakers managed to win that game thanks to D’Angelo Russell’s dominant 44-point performance. The Lakers hope LeBron’s injury is not too serious as they cannot afford to lose him at this stage of the season.

Anthony Davis’ stats this season
While LeBron James has been dominating the league in his 21st season, his co-star Anthony Davis is also having a career year. AD is having a monster season, averaging 24.8 points, 12.5 rebounds, and 2.5 blocks. But more importantly, AD has missed only 4 games so far. That is the most available he has been since the Lakers 2019-20 Championship season. The Lakers are 1-3 without AD this season.

That shows how integral Davis has been to the Lakers’ success. He has played 62 games and been highly consistent throughout the season. The Lakers are gunning for a higher seed in the playoffs to avoid the play-in tournament. And the final 16 games of the season are extremely crucial. Hopefully, LeBron and AD can recover from their injuries soon and stay available to suit up for the Lakers tomorrow night.
