The game between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Golden State Warriors was a battle from start to finish. With the score tied at the end of regulation, the game went to double overtime for a thrilling finish. However, a controversial moment between Anthony Davis and Draymond Green during the closing seconds of the fourth quarter caught the NBA World’s attention.

LeBron James and Co. led the Warriors by 1 point with 15 seconds remaining in the game. As Anthony Davis received the inbound pass and looked for a teammate to pass the ball, Draymond Green swung for the ball and missed it completely. Instead, Draymond connected with Davis’ face and got called for a foul.

Considering Draymond’s history of controversial plays and the unnecessary swing on AD, many considered Draymond should have been called for a flagrant foul. Angry Lakers fans slammed the former DPOY for his wild antics. One fan wrote on X, “He’s beating up on AD tonight!” The NBA World followed suit.

Has Draymond Green learned nothing from his past?

Draymond Green’s foul on Davis only adds to his long list of controversial plays this season. Green has served two lengthy suspensions this season for his wild antics on the floor. Draymond got suspended for 5 games after he put Rudy Gobert in a choke hold during a heated altercation against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

A few games after his return from the 5-game suspension, Draymond found himself in trouble again. He took a wild swing at Suns Center Jusuf Nurkic during a game and knocked him to the ground. Draymond got ejected for making excessive contact with an opponent’s face. The NBA penalized him with an indefinite suspension that lasted 12 games.

The Warriors Center made his return on January 15 after taking some time off to reflect on his actions. However, his actions tonight might suggest that Draymond has not learned his lesson. Not only did he take a wild swing at Davis, but his reaction to Jarred Vanderbilt calling for a review of the foul shocked everyone. Draymond mocked Vanderbilt’s review action and yelled, “Shut your bit*h a** up man.” Draymond’s actions could hurt the Warriors again like they have done the entire season. Do you believe Draymond’s foul on Anthony Davis deserved to be called a flagrant foul?
