The clash between the LA Lakers and the LA Clippers is underway. LeBron James and Co. are looking to improve their record by beating a fully healthy Clippers squad. But it was not King James’ first-half dominance that garnered the fans’ attention early in the game.

The NBA World was more surprised by seeing a familiar face courtside in a new role. The Golden State Warriors’ former President and General Manager, Bob Myers, was seen taking the mic courtside during the game. The ex-GM’s new role astounded the fans, and they expressed their shock on social media.

Bob Myers stepped down as the President and General Manager of the Warriors franchise this May. He held that position for 12 years and was a key member in building the Golden State Warriors dynasty as we know it today. After a successful stint as the Warriors GM, Bob Myers decided to take his career in a new direction.

The 48-year-old former basketball executive took on the role of a courtside commentator with ESPN and announced that he would call several games this season. Many fans were not aware of Myers’ new career choice and were shocked to see the former GM calling the Lakers-Clippers game from the sidelines.

The NBA World went into a frenzy and expressed their shock on social media. One fan wrote, “Tf? Bob Myers is a commentator now?” Others followed suit.
