The Boston Celtics struck gold with this season’s roster. The addition of center Kristaps Porzingis and guard Jrue Holiday is the highlight of the season. Of course, the Jrue Holiday trade was right behind the Lillard trade in headlines. The trade from the Bucks to the Blazers brought tears to the eyes of many, particularly when Jrue mentioned his attachment to the team.

But the six-foot-four guard arrived on a team that boasts the best players in the entire NBA league. From Celtics stars Tatum and Brown to veterans like Al Horford, the only problem Boston will have is deciding who to place in the starting lineup.

Porzingis’s mindset coming in echoes the team’s overall sentiment

Kristaps Porzingis has only had good things to say about the Celtics since his arrival. And with good reason. The Celtics are driven by their determination to win the title. There is no shortcut, but they are all the more willing to take the long way if it gets them their championship. Alluding to the general atmosphere at the Celtics, JT FOR tweeted, Vibes are beyond immaculate.

 

The 28-year-old Latvian has yet to claim a title. And his move to the Celtics provided him with the golden opportunity to do so. Speaking about his career aspirations, all he is focused on at this point is “winning”.

 

We can be sure that Jason Tatum and Co. echo the exact same sentiment.

If anything, all Joe Mazzulla will have to figure out is the starting lineup. Seeing as Jayson Tatum and Jalen Brown are the franchise’s faces, they will most likely start the game. They might add Kristaps Porzingis to this group as well. Who comes next is the tricky part.

You cannot fault a man for being confused when asked to pick one from a group of elite starter-level players. Then again, Joe Mazzulla is known for employing different starting lineups every time. Looking at the players on hand now, Kristaps Porzingis and Horford are a great pair to put together. And bringing in Jrue Holiday and Derrick White will give them the best defensive end.
