Rivalries in the NBA are pretty common. We have the infamous Michael Jordan vs. Isiah Thomas, Shaquille O’Neal vs. Kobe Bryant, Magic Johnson vs. Larry Bird, and many more… One of the strangest and most entertaining ones of all was the one between Lance Stephenson and LeBron James. It was mostly one-sided, from Lance, and ranged from the usual trash-talking to the much weirder blowing in Bron’s ear.

Through it all, James never really gave in to him and it has been forgotten. Until last night, that is. The Houston Rockets and Los Angeles Lakers tipped off in what can be called an important match for both teams. The Lakers have won just three games of the seven played. Houston, on the other hand, has won three of the six games. Rockets gave their fans everything they wanted, along with something else.

One fan even claimed that Stephenson deserves royalties from Dillon for copying the moment.

And some other fans thought the moment was just downright hilarious

While the game was hilarious to most, the Lakers fans were having a tough time. The team failed to take the lead and waited almost three minutes before adding their first two points. As the Rockets raced past them in adding more points to the scoreboard, LeBron and co. took their sweet time and failed to eventually catch up to them. They set a record for the worst first-quarter performances by a team in league history.

Such consecutive abysmal performances leave fans wondering what happened to the Lakers of the old. Will they ever be able to bounce back from these disappointing performances? Only time will tell.
